Four ways to play
- Bid WhistPartners, a kitty, uptown, downtown and no trump.
- Classic WhistPartners, no bidding, with trump rotating each hand.
- Solo Bid WhistThe same bidding, with every player on their own.
- Solo WhistNo bidding, no partners, first to 21.
Your table, your rules
Anyone who sets up a table can choose its house rules, then save them to use again.
- Jokers, minimum bid, and what happens when everyone passes
- Game to 5, 7, 11 or 21, and whether a Boston wins the game
- Deuces as trump, and where the ace sits downtown
- Sporting the kitty, and real-table reneging with calls after the last trick
Play with your people
Set up a private or scheduled game and invite your crew with a link or a short code. Rooms hold up to 20: four at the table, with everyone else watching, chatting and waiting their turn on the "I got next" line. Watchers never see anyone's hand.
New to the game?
The Learners Circle teaches bid whist step by step, with practice tables and bots at the level you choose. Every bot in the game is labeled as a bot.
Deals you can check
Every hand is shuffled from a seed fixed before the deal, and players add to it from their own phones. After the hand, "Verify this deal" repeats the shuffle on your phone, so you can see for yourself that the cards weren't changed. Your balance, purchases and win history are never part of the shuffle.
